LinkedIn Account Attack Alert Issued For 1.2 Billion Users

Researchers at the Cofense Phishing Defense Center warned of a LinkedIn-themed phishing campaign that can lead to account takeover.

The attack uses fake LinkedIn message notification emails that closely mimic LinkedIn formatting and display names.

Those emails redirect recipients to counterfeit login pages to steal credentials and often urge urgent contact as the lure.
