Ukraine plans 25,000 ground robots for frontline logistics

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry plans to buy 25,000 unmanned ground vehicles by mid-2026 to automate frontline logistics and cut soldier exposure.

The move includes longer-term contracts with domestic makers and a broader push to scale robotic support across the battlefield.

Ukraine says robot units have already carried out thousands of missions, and the Bizon-L transport robot has been approved for service.

Officials see battlefield robotics as a way to speed supply runs, lower casualties, and change how frontline support is done.
