The company cited research showing only 16% of organizations see high measurable value from AI, reinforcing the need for workflow controls and human oversight.

Appian said its Composer tool helps customers choose between AI agents, simple rules, and integrations based on the process.

Executives framed reliability, compliance, and business value as outcomes of process design, not just more data or more agents.
