South Korea’s LetinAR is building optics behind AI glasses

South Korean optics startup LetinAR raised $18.5 million from investors including Korea Development Bank and Lotte Ventures.

The LG Electronics-backed company is developing a compact, power-efficient lens module for AI glasses, aiming to commercialize its PinTILT technology.

LetinAR says the module could help solve a key barrier to smart glasses by making them thinner, lighter, and more practical to wear.

The company is targeting a 2027 listing as major tech players like Meta, Google, Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Alibaba, and Xiaomi push into AI glasses.
