Asus and Xreal's $849 Gaming Display Glasses Are Available for Preorder

Asus and Xreal opened preorders for the $849 ROG Xreal R1 gaming display glasses, which ship in June.

The glasses feature a 240Hz micro-OLED panel, 1080p resolution, 700-nit brightness, and Bose-powered audio.

To use the highest refresh rate, buyers need the ROG Control Dock, which also supports console switching and HDMI 2.0 / DisplayPort 1.4 input.

The premium price and required dock make the ROG Xreal R1 a niche product, even as it raises the bar on display-glasses refresh rates.
