LINE supports Starlink and can also be used with Docomo and au

LY Corporation said it will add Starlink Direct support to nine of its apps, including LINE, starting April 13 in stages.

The apps will work not only on SoftBank but also on au Starlink Direct and docomo Starlink Direct.

LINE will get a satellite mode focused on sending and receiving messages.

Other apps will remain usable in a low-speed standard mode, helping keep services available in mountains, offshore, and during disasters.
