Leak details Ryzen 7 9800HX3D, AMD's first affordable 3D V-Cache laptop CPU

A leak claims AMD is developing the Ryzen 7 9800HX3D, a Zen 5 laptop CPU with 3D V-Cache.

The chip is said to be an 8-core part aimed at lower-priced gaming laptops, making AMD’s cache tech more broadly available.

Production could begin in late 2026, with a possible launch around CES 2027.

If accurate, it would give gamers a cheaper alternative to Intel-based gaming laptops and boost AMD’s mobile gaming push.
