Qualcomm CEO Flies to Korea, Hunting 2nm Wafers at Samsung and LPDDR Supply at SK Hynix

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon visited South Korea to meet with Samsung Foundry and SK Hynix executives.

At Samsung, he discussed using the company’s 2nm process for next-generation Snapdragon chips; at SK Hynix, he sought additional LPDDR memory supply.

Qualcomm is trying to lock in foundry and memory capacity as demand remains tight for AI and PC chips.

The talks could shape Qualcomm’s product roadmap and its manufacturing diversification strategy.
