Zscaler acquires AI security firm Symmetry Systems

Zscaler plans to acquire Symmetry Systems to add access-graph technology to its Zero Trust Exchange platform.

The technology will help map how AI agents, users, identities, permissions, and data move across cloud, SaaS, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.

Zscaler says this should improve visibility into risky access, stolen credentials, and ransomware impact as AI systems become more autonomous.

The deal is expected to close soon, subject to standard closing conditions.
