Linux Foundation is developing a DNS system for AI agents

The Linux Foundation launched DNS-AID, an open-source project for AI agent discovery and verification via DNS.

Originally developed by Infoblox, it lets AI agents and MCP servers publish and find each other through a decentralized directory.

The project includes a Python SDK, CLI, and MCP server to help developers integrate it.

Hosted on GitHub, DNS-AID will be governed as a neutral community project.

If adopted, it could improve interoperability and reduce reliance on proprietary registries.
