Alibaba Qwen3.8 officially released, with further advances in coding and office work, and faster, more stable reasoning

Alibaba has officially launched its next-generation foundation model, Qwen3.8.

The flagship Qwen3.8-Max shows improved performance in coding, professional office tasks, vision understanding, and long-context reasoning.

Qwen3.8-Max is already available through API and in Alibaba’s office agent product.

Alibaba says Qwen3.8-Max and Qwen3.8-27B will be open-sourced next week.
