US attack helicopters sink 6 Iranian boats in Hormuz, shoot down missiles and drones

U.S. forces destroyed six Iranian fast boats in the Strait of Hormuz after they were seen threatening merchant ships.

Navy MH-60S Seahawks and Army AH-64 Apaches were used in the operation, according to CENTCOM.

U.S. forces also countered missile and drone attacks targeting vessels in the busy shipping lane.
