Stellaris is finally adding a major feature its director has wanted "for a long time"

Paradox says Stellaris 4.4, codenamed Pegasus, will add mid-war diplomacy options.

Players will be able to offer Join War terms and negotiate exits from ongoing conflicts.

The update aims to move beyond Stellaris’ rigid attacker-versus-defender war model.

AI empires will consider factors like distance and war conditions when deciding how to respond.
