United Flight 236 turned back to Newark after crew detected a nearby Bluetooth device named “BOMB,” triggering a bomb scare.

The Boeing 767 was flying from Newark to Palma de Mallorca when the crew asked passengers to disable Bluetooth before declaring an emergency.

The plane landed safely in Newark, passengers were evacuated, and security found no explosive device during the luggage search.

Reports said the device may have belonged to a teenage passenger, but the exact gadget was not confirmed.
