Leaker: Apple Will Release iPhone Air 2 No Matter How Badly It May Sell

The iPhone Air has struggled in sales since its September 2025 launch.

A KeyBanc Capital Markets survey found virtually no investor demand for the device.

Suppliers were expected to cut capacity by over 80% through Q1 2026; Luxshare stopped production in October and Foxconn is expected to end production by December.

Apple is considering adding a second rear camera—possibly a 48‑megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide—and pursuing weight reduction, vapor‑chamber cooling, better battery capacity, a thinner Face ID module, and A20 and C2 chips.

Apple will release at least two generations of the iPhone Air 2 regardless of sales performance.
