Chinese humanoid robot posts a sub-50-minute half marathon, surpassing the human world record and cutting 1 hour 50 minutes from last year

A humanoid robot half marathon was held in Beijing, where a Chinese autonomous robot won in 50:26.

That time was far faster than the human men’s world record and beat last year’s winning time by about 1 hour 50 minutes.

Roughly 100 teams took part, underscoring the rapid advance of China’s humanoid robotics sector.

China used the high-profile race to spotlight robotics as a strategic industry ahead of planned commercialization in 2026.
