Google won't say how often Gemini 3.5 Flash hallucinates

Mashable reports Google did not share Gemini 3.5 Flash hallucination or sycophancy rates at Google I/O.

Unlike Anthropic and OpenAI, Google does not publicly report those reliability metrics for Gemini.

Google has instead highlighted FACTS benchmark accuracy, including 68.8% for Gemini 3 Pro and 83.8% on a search-based test.

The company says more safety details for the rest of the Gemini 3.5 series will arrive in June, as it expands Gemini-powered Search features.
