T-Mobile's network-native AI Live Translation beta is here, and this is just the start

T-Mobile launched a beta of its Live Translation feature, enabling real-time call translation by dialing *87* during a call.

The service runs on T-Mobile’s network, supports more than 80 languages, and works on virtually any connected phone without an extra app.

The company says it is an early example of network-native AI, designed to be improved and expanded based on customer feedback.

The move highlights how carriers could use AI to make multilingual calling easier and create new consumer wireless services.
