Google launches “Gemini in Chrome” in Japan, letting users ask AI directly from Chrome

Google has started rolling out Gemini in Chrome in Japan and other regions.

On desktop Chrome, users can summarize web pages, draft emails, compare across tabs, generate images, and connect with Google apps.

The update lets people get AI help without leaving the browser, improving everyday search, summarization, comparison, and writing tasks.

Support is expanding across platforms including Windows, macOS, and Chromebook Plus.
