Bangmi Committee clears all backlog digital sex crime cases in five weeks

The Broadcasting and Media Communications Deliberation Committee has cleared a backlog of digital sex crime cases after restarting its standing review system.

In just five weeks, it processed 69,126 cases, about 70% of them removed through cooperation with overseas platforms.

The rest were reviewed and subject to corrective action requests, helping limit further victim harm.

The case underscores the effectiveness of 24/7 deliberation, self-regulation, and automated monitoring systems.
