Apple shares iPhone and Mac post-quantum cryptography code on GitHub

Apple has open-sourced a new corecrypto repository and technical overview of its post-quantum cryptography program on GitHub.

The release includes ML-KEM and ML-DSA implementations, tests, performance tools, build targets, and formal verification materials.

Apple says the goal is to invite outside review and improve methods for formally verifying security code against future quantum attacks.

The work builds on Apple’s earlier PQ3 deployment in iMessage and aligns with NIST standards FIPS 203 and FIPS 204.
