The EU AI Act gets serious on August 2: What’s changing?

From August 2, the European Commission can require AI providers to submit technical and safety information, putting the EU AI Act into enforcement.

New obligations now apply to high-risk systems, AI-generated content labels, and chatbot disclosures.

The Commission can demand changes, remove noncompliant models from the EU market, and fine violators up to 3% of annual revenue.

Existing systems have a transition period until December 2, with some requirements phased in later.
