Google is fully committed to AI agents with the Antigravity platform

Google expanded Antigravity into a full AI-agent ecosystem at I/O 2026, adding a standalone desktop app, terminal tools, new APIs, and an SDK.

The update also brings deeper integration with AI Studio and Gemini Enterprise, plus parallel agent workflows, managed Linux-based agents, scheduling, and project-management features.

Google is positioning Antigravity as a core platform for building, running, and managing autonomous agents at scale.

The company also introduced CodeMender, a security-focused agent aimed at improving code safety.
