US Takes Down Botnets Used in Record-Breaking Cyberattacks

US Department of Justice dismantled four botnets, uS Department of Justice and Defense Criminal Investigative Service said they dismantled four botnets.

Four botnets amassed more than 3 million devices, operators had more than 3 million compromised devices across the four botnets.

Law enforcement removed command-and-control servers, authorities removed the command-and-control servers used to operate the botnets.

Aisuru and Kimwolf comprised more than a million devices, aisuru and Kimwolf together comprised more than a million devices per Cloudflare.

Aisuru and Kimwolf attack reached about 31.4 terabits per second, cloudflare reported a combined attack from Aisuru and Kimwolf that reached about 31.4 terabits per second.
