FDA Lists 12 Ongoing Foodborne Outbreaks: 4 Cyclospora, 3 Salmonella

The FDA is tracking 12 active foodborne outbreak investigations, including four Cyclospora, three Salmonella, two E. coli, two Listeria, and one botulism case.

Taylor Farms recalled shredded lettuce amid a possible Cyclospora link, and the FDA added another Cyclospora investigation with no source yet identified.

Many of the outbreaks remain unresolved, with suspected illnesses spread across dozens of states.

The mounting tally is raising concerns about outbreak detection, public health response, and the adequacy of food safety oversight.
