YouTube will try to automatically flag AI videos starting this month

YouTube is making AI-content labels more visible on videos and Shorts.

Starting in May 2026, it will automatically flag undisclosed photorealistic AI content.

YouTube is also expanding its deepfake detection tool to all eligible creators.

The labels will not affect recommendations or monetization.
