Nintendo confirms Switch 2 price rises, consoles now $500 in the US

Nintendo is raising the MSRP of Switch 2 and some other hardware in the US, Europe, Canada, and Japan.

In the US, the Switch 2 price will increase by $50 to $499.99, with similar hikes in other regions.

Japan will also see higher prices for some consoles and Nintendo Switch Online.

The move reflects pressure from component costs, tariffs, and broader economic conditions on console pricing.
