Alexa is moving into Amazon.com

Amazon is rolling out Alexa for Shopping, an Alexa Plus-powered assistant that replaces Rufus on Amazon’s shopping surfaces.

The assistant works across the search bar, chat, app, website, and Alexa devices to answer questions, compare products, and track price history.

It can also set price alerts, reorder items, and in some cases shop on other websites through Amazon’s Buy for Me feature.

The rollout is starting with U.S. customers and does not require an Alexa account.
