Microsoft is rolling out its Windows 11 CPU-boosting update – here's how to enable it

Microsoft is rolling out KB5089573 for eligible Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 devices with a new Low Latency Profile feature.

The feature briefly raises CPU clocks to improve shell responsiveness, app launches, and UI flyouts such as Start, Search, and Action Center.

The update is a controlled rollout, so some users may need to install the optional package manually or wait for Patch Tuesday.

Advanced users can also force-enable the feature with ViveTool, highlighting Microsoft’s phased approach to performance fixes.
