Dashlane Users Locked Out After Password Manager Detects Brute-Force Attack

Dashlane says external attackers tried to brute-force two-factor authentication to add new devices to existing accounts.

Its security systems suspended targeted accounts, and fewer than 20 personal-plan users had encrypted vault copies downloaded.

Dashlane notified affected customers and said there is no evidence its internal systems were compromised.

The company said the encrypted vaults remain protected without master passwords, but the incident raised security concerns for some users.
