This is the best Google Pay feature you're not using in India

Google launched Tap to Pay in India in 2020 and expanded support beyond the initial two banks over five years.

Tap to Pay uses NFC and tokenized virtual card numbers so you can add most Visa and MasterCard network cards and pay contactlessly with your phone.

The feature has no transaction limits and worked for the author with HDFC Infinia, Axis, and ICICI cards; Amex cards are not supported.

Most retail POS terminals in India support NFC, and card enrollment requires SMS authentication in Google Pay.
