Bitcoin Price Direction Prediction via Regime-Aware Multi-Modal Fusion of Social Sentiment and Technical Features

Researchers introduced a regime-aware multi-modal model for Bitcoin direction prediction.

The system uses rolling volatility to classify stable vs. volatile markets, then dynamically weights Reddit sentiment and OHLCV technical features.

On 3,491 hourly Bitcoin samples from July 2024 to September 2025, it beat price-only, sentiment-only, and static-fusion baselines for 3-hour and 6-hour forecasts.

Ablation tests showed the regime detector, adaptive gating, and feature fusion all contributed to better performance.
