Mistral AI launches Vibe, expands into industrial AI and announces a data center push to challenge OpenAI

Mistral AI rebranded its consumer assistant as Vibe, while also launching a new industrial engineering AI platform.

The company said it will build a new inference data center south of Paris as it expands its own AI infrastructure.

Mistral has 1,000 employees and is targeting €1 billion in revenue in 2026.

It is deepening work with Airbus, BMW Group, and ASML to position itself as a leading European enterprise AI vendor.
