Apple Announces Plans to Make More iPhone Parts in USA

Apple added new members to its American Manufacturing Program, tDK, Bosch, Cirrus Logic, and Qnity Electronics were announced as new members.

TDK will manufacture TMR sensors in the U.S. for the first time the TMR sensors will be used in iPhones shipped worldwide.

Apple/Bosch/TSMC will produce integrated circuits for Bosch sensing hardware at a U.S. facility the chips will be made at a TSMC facility in Washington.

Apple/Cirrus Logic/GlobalFoundries is working with Cirrus Logic and GlobalFoundries to establish new process technologies the effort targets a GlobalFoundries facility in New York.

Qnity Electronics/HD MicroSystems said Qnity Electronics and HD MicroSystems will supply materials and technologies these materials and technologies are for semiconductor manufacturing.
