AMD Quietly Preps Radeon RX 9050 With 2048 Shaders, But Cripples It With 8 GB VRAM And Slower Clocks

A leak says AMD is working on the Radeon RX 9050, a new lower-tier RDNA 4 graphics card.

It reportedly uses the same 2,048-shader Navi 44 XT die as the RX 9060 XT, but with 8 GB GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus.

The RX 9050 is said to have lower bandwidth and reduced clock speeds, including a 2,600 MHz boost.

If true, it would expand AMD’s Radeon RX 9000 lineup as a budget option below the RX 9060 XT.
