Meta expands Ray-Ban AI glasses for prescription users, adds nutrition tracking

Meta introduced two prescription-focused AI smart glasses: Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Ray-Ban Meta Scriber Optics (Gen 2).

Glasses are designed to support nearly all prescriptions and for improved comfort during extended use; opticians can adjust multiple frame elements and hardware includes overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips.

Pricing starts at $499 in the United States; pre-orders are open online and broader availability begins April 14 at optical retailers and select international markets.

Blayzer uses a rectangular frame while Scriber has a more rounded design; the Ray-Ban Meta lineup adds new colors and lens combinations — Skyler in Shiny Transparent Peach with Transitions Brown, Headliner in Matte Transparent Peach with Transitions Grey, and Wayfarer in Shiny Transparent Grey with Transitions Sapphire.

Meta is adding software features that use voice and camera inputs. Oakley Meta updates include Vanguard Black with Prizm Black and Vanguard White with Prizm Rose Gold, and Vanguard/HSTN styles offer transition-enabled and sport-focused lens options.
