ZachXBT Identified a US-based Hacker Responsible for Over $19M Crypto Scam

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT says he traced a US-based actor linked to more than $19 million in crypto thefts.

The alleged activity spans phishing, exploit-based thefts, wallet tracing, and use of cross-chain bridges and privacy services.

His findings suggest public on-chain data can still expose criminals, even when they try to hide behind multiple wallets and services.

The case also underscores the limits of attribution without law-enforcement verification.
