OpenAI expands its Asian business by partnering with Japan's Data Section

OpenAI partnered with Japan’s Datasection to connect its API to the TAIZA platform for enterprise AI requests in Asia.

The setup routes requests through Datasection’s software layer instead of sending them directly to OpenAI’s cloud endpoint.

It may be OpenAI’s first model inference deployment outside Microsoft’s cloud environment.

Datasection says the arrangement is designed for controlled, regional deployment for enterprise and public-sector customers across Asia-Pacific.
