Microsoft Is Retiring Copilot Mode On Edge, Because Everything Is Copilot Mode Now

Microsoft is retiring Edge’s standalone Copilot Mode as its AI features are now built directly into the browser on desktop and mobile.

The browser will keep tools like tab comparison, Journeys, voice and vision, memory of history and chats, study quizzes, writing help, and podcast generation.

This moves Microsoft’s browser AI deeper into Edge, making Copilot-style features part of the default browsing experience across devices.
