DOJ confirms FBI Director Kash Patel’s personal email was hacked

Handala Hack team claimed responsibility for hacking Kash Patel's personal email, saying it was retaliation for domain seizures.

Reuters reported Western researchers believe Handala is one of several personas used by Iranian government cyberintelligence units.

The group's press release quoted emails that included death threats to dissidents in the US and declared war on enemies of Islam in the West, expressing loyalty to Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Hackers said their data grab included confidential information about Patel, a claim that could not be independently verified.

They also claimed the FBI's systems were brought to their knees within hours.
