Why You Might Want to Wait to Buy a MacBook Pro

Apple’s current MacBook Pro refresh with M5 Pro and M5 Max arrived in March 2026, but the bigger redesign appears to be next.

Reports point to a late-2026 or early-2027 MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, thinner chassis, and Dynamic Island.

The new model is expected to use 2nm M6-series chips from TSMC, with possible cellular support on higher-end versions.

That could make the next MacBook Pro a major upgrade, but likely at a higher price and with more first-generation risk.
