Satellite communications company Skylo enters the Korean market... discusses cooperation with SKT, KT, and LG U+

Skylo is moving into the Korean market and discussing partnerships with SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus.

The NTN company says its 3GPP-based D2D satellite service can fill coverage gaps, support disaster response, and give carriers more pricing flexibility.

At a media session in Seoul, Skylo demonstrated sending an SOS satellite message directly from a smartphone.

The company also said it is working on future voice calling features.
