Pixel phones are seeing unusual battery drain after the latest update — and Google is looking into it

Google is investigating widespread idle battery drain on Pixel phones after the April 2026 update.

Users across multiple Pixel generations, including Pixel 6 and Pixel 10, reported severe battery loss even while phones were idle.

Google acknowledged the issue on Issue Tracker and says it is working on a fix.

The bug appears to affect CPU deep sleep behavior, making battery life much worse until a future patch arrives.
