MacStories’ Federico Viticci launched Shortcuts Playground, a free open-source plugin for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.

The tool turns plain-language prompts into Apple Shortcuts files that can be reviewed and used on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

It offers a practical shortcut-building option now, before Apple’s rumored AI shortcut feature in iOS 27.

The release could make automation easier for more Apple users.
