OpenClaw Paved the Way for AI Agents. Gemini Spark Is Google Putting a Toll on It

Google launched Gemini Spark, a personal AI agent built on Gemini Flash 3.5 to automate digital tasks using Google Workspace tools.

It can act autonomously, but it asks users before sensitive actions and will run on Android, iOS, the web, and later Chrome.

The service will be paid and bundled with Google AI Ultra, starting in beta for U.S. users only.

The move shows how big tech is turning open-source-inspired agent ideas into subscription products under tighter control.
