Toyota unveils its proprietary “Woven AI” for the first time, using world-leading video understanding to anticipate changes in events

Toyota’s Woven subsidiary has unveiled a proprietary AI that can interpret camera video, describe the movement of people and vehicles in language, and predict what will happen next.

The system will be used in demonstrations at Woven City and is also being rolled out for external sales.

By combining data from vehicles, pedestrians, and infrastructure, the AI is designed to anticipate hazards and strengthen Toyota’s next-generation safety technology.

The move could help reduce traffic accidents and provide a foundation for safer mobility and autonomous driving applications.
