Alexa Replaces Rufus as Amazon's AI Shopping Assistant

Amazon is phasing out Rufus and replacing it with Alexa for Shopping for U.S. customers within a week.

The new assistant will be free to use without Prime on the Amazon app, website, and Echo Show devices.

It can compare products, track prices, set alerts, reorder items, and help buy from other retailers through Buy for Me.

Amazon says Alexa for Shopping combines Rufus product knowledge with Alexa Plus personalization and device data, with privacy controls available.
