TSMC’s Key CoWoS Packaging Supplier Sues Former General Manager While Denying Any Technology Reached China

TSMC packaging supplier GPTC denied that any confidential CoWoS technology was transferred to China.

At the same time, GPTC filed a trade-secret lawsuit against former General Manager Huang Fu-Yuan.

Investigators are reviewing the case, which has raised fresh concerns about IP protection in advanced chip packaging.
