Anthropic tests new placement for Projects on Claude Desktop

Anthropic is testing a new Claude Desktop layout that moves the Chat/Cowork switch from the prompt bar to the top of the window.

Projects may be added to the sidebar, with pinning and sorting controls included.

A Projects area is also being explored for Claude Code on the web.

The changes could make Claude Desktop faster to navigate for heavy users and position it more centrally in work workflows.
