The FBI may have reset your wireless router remotely; if so, you should replace it

The FBI and NSA say a GRU-linked group has been targeting older home and small-office routers since at least 2024.

U.S. authorities used a court-authorized remote reset to secure thousands of compromised devices.

The affected routers were mostly unsupported models that no longer receive security updates.

Officials say users should replace these routers immediately and secure networks with updated hardware and strong settings.
